Aluminium Composite Letters
Aluminium composite lettering combines a slim profile with a choice of colours and metallic finishes. It is cut from 3mm ACM sheet for shop signs, reception branding and display lettering. This is aluminium composite material: it differs from the solid metal used for our mill-finished aluminium letters.
Flat cut lettering is also commonly searched for as laser cut letters or CNC routed letters. The cutting method depends on the material and design; we confirm the specification before production.
Sizes, thicknesses and finishes
The standard range covers letter heights from 75mm to 1200mm. Choose from eight solid colours and five brushed finishes in the current calculator. Mirror finishes and special requests need an availability and artwork check before a bespoke quote.
Choosing the right material
Choose ACM when a thin letter profile and the face finish suit your sign. Compare solid aluminium letters if you need real metal throughout, or acrylic letters for a different colour and thickness range. The gold mirror VEAS lettering in our project gallery is ACM, rather than gold acrylic.
ACM flat cut letters for business signs
Aluminium composite letters can be used for shop fascia wording, reception branding and display signs. The 3mm sheet gives the letter a slim profile, while locators can hold suitable letters away from a wall or panel to create a raised effect. Select the face colour or brushed finish to work with the background of the sign.
Is ACM the same as Dibond?
ACM means aluminium composite material. Dibond and Alupanel are brand names used for this type of sheet. Our calculator specifies ACM; a particular sheet brand is not guaranteed unless it is agreed in your quote.
Can I order an ACM logo?
Send your artwork, overall dimensions and preferred finish for a bespoke logo quote. The online calculator covers straightforward individual letters and numbers.
Fixings and positioning templates
Choose letters alone, locators with a paper positioning template (+20%), or tape with a paper template (+30%). Fixing charges apply to the colour-adjusted lettering price before VAT. The right package depends on the material, letter shape and mounting surface; confirm suitability before fitting.
Ordering, artwork and UK delivery
The calculator covers straightforward individual letters and numbers. Try 25 font styles in the preview; your final typeface and layout are checked before cutting. Logos, punctuation, connected lettering, fine strokes and unusual shapes need a separate artwork review. Selected height means letter height, not the overall width of a word.
The minimum lettering subtotal is £30 excluding VAT (£36 including VAT). Delivery is £18 excluding VAT (£21.60 including VAT), or free when the lettering subtotal reaches £125 excluding VAT after discounts. Delivery covers the UK, including Northern Ireland. These rates apply to this lettering range; other collection-only products remain collection only.
