The right amount of impact

Lettering, graphics or a wrap?

A vehicle does not need to be covered from bumper to bumper to carry a strong message. We help you choose the right mix of lettering, graphics and wrapped areas, using the shape and colour of your vehicle as part of the design.

Vinyl lettering & logos

Cut vinyl lettering applies your business name, logo and contact details directly to the vehicle. The original paint remains visible around the individual letters and shapes.

A practical option for van signwriting, car graphics and lorry branding, especially when you want a clear, straightforward design. See our Wilson Healy project ↓

Partial vehicle wraps

A partial wrap covers selected areas, such as rear doors or side panels. Colour and graphics can make an impression while the vehicle’s original finish remains part of the layout.

Our Cottage of Dreams project shows a purple rear wrap combined with separate vinyl logos, butterflies and lettering.

Full wraps & printed graphics

Larger printed graphics and full wraps give you more space for brand colours, images and an overall design across the bodywork.

The coverage, artwork and film are planned around the vehicle’s panels and contours. We can discuss the most suitable approach when reviewing your vehicle.

Have several vehicles to brand? We can discuss a consistent fleet design and adapt the layout to different makes and models, so each vehicle carries the same business identity.

Cost-effective van signwriting

Wilson Healy:
simple lettering, strong impact.

Vinyl lettering & logosCost-effective brandingCompleted van signwriting

This Wilson Healy Automobile Engineering van shows how much impact a straightforward vinyl lettering scheme can make. Blue business lettering, a car-and-spanner logo and a fine blue stripe work with the white bodywork to create a clear, professional identity.

Applied lettering keeps the coverage simple and makes the existing vehicle colour part of the design. The business name, services and telephone number each have a clear place in the layout. It is a cost-effective approach to van signwriting for businesses that want to be noticed without the coverage of a larger wrap.

Recognisable from the front and sides

The Wilson Healy name and car-and-spanner logo give this white Renault Kangoo a strong focal point. Blue lettering and a slim stripe bring colour to the layout, while black service information and the telephone number remain easy to pick out. This front-quarter view shows how a simple vinyl lettering scheme can create a professional business vehicle without covering large areas of the bodywork.

Clear services and contact details

This closer side view shows the information behind the branding. The service list sits below the large business name, with the SERVICE / MOT line and telephone number across the door and the Southport address along the lower panel. Black lettering contrasts with the white van, while the blue stripe links the sections. A considered layout makes a cost-effective lettering package look smart and purposeful.

The bonnet carries the Wilson Healy logo, business name and telephone number, extending the branding beyond the side panels. The same blue and black colours continue along the doors and rear side panel, bringing the different views together. It is a practical example of using selected areas of a van for clear, consistent advertising while leaving the original white paint visible.

From the workshop to the finished vehicle

Cottage of Dreams:
colour first, graphics next.

Partial van wrapApplied vinyl letteringLogo & butterfly graphics

This black van was given a purple wrap across the rear and lower side areas. The purple film creates the colour foundation; the Cottage of Dreams logos, butterflies and lettering are then applied as separate vinyl elements.

The design uses both finishes: darker purple branding sits over the wrap, while turquoise lettering and lighter butterflies stand out against the black areas. These photographs show the fitting work, the wrapped panels before lettering, and the completed result.

The fitter uses a squeegee to smooth the film against the panel while the remaining material is still loose below. It is a useful close-up of the hands-on work involved in shaping a vehicle wrap before the logos, lettering and decorative graphics complete the project.

The colour foundation before the graphics

Before the logos and lettering are added, the purple partial wrap establishes the shape of the design. This workshop view shows the wrap across the rear doors and rear side panel, with a sweeping transition into the van's original black finish. Showing this stage helps explain the difference between the wrapped colour areas and the vinyl graphics applied afterwards.

It is a strong example of how wrapping and lettering can work together to give a business vehicle a distinctive identity.

A partial wrap can make the vehicle's existing colour part of its branding. Here, the black van provides a contrasting background for purple butterflies and turquoise lettering, while the purple wrapped areas frame the rear logo and continue along the lower side. This finished side view shows how a mixed approach to wrapping and vinyl graphics creates a cohesive result.

Easy Roofing’s white van becomes a recognisable business vehicle with an orange partial wrap across the rear bodywork. The curved colour boundary uses the original white cab as part of the design, while contrasting logos, service lettering and contact details give the van a clear purpose on the road.

The workshop photographs show the orange vinyl being fitted and the wrapped panels before the branding is added. Finished views then show how the roof logo, white lettering and rear-door layout turn that colour treatment into a complete advertisement for the business.

Van lettering • Business graphics

AntiBac: a clean, recognisable look.

AntiBac Cleaning Solutions’ van combines a bold business name with bright green bubble graphics on the original white bodywork. The repeated shapes carry the theme around the vehicle, making the side and rear feel like one design.

The lettering gives the graphics a practical role: the side identifies the business, the door carries contact information, and the rear lists the cleaning services. It is a useful example of how carefully placed vehicle graphics can create a distinctive business identity without covering every panel.

Contra Vision window graphics let the branding continue over the glazing while allowing people inside to see out through the film’s perforations. The rear window artwork features an extractor-hood image, connecting the design directly to the kitchen extract and duct cleaning service.

Vehicle lettering • Bespoke advertising display

Wilson Wheel Care:
a small vehicle with a big idea.

Vinyl lettering & logosWheel-shaped advertising signMade in our workshop

A small vehicle can carry a big idea. For Wilson Wheel Care, we combined vinyl lettering on a compact grey flatbed with a bespoke wheel-shaped advertising sign mounted behind the cab. The oversized alloy-wheel graphic makes the business’s speciality immediately recognisable, while the lettering supplies the name and contact details.

The finished display brings vehicle graphics and sign-making together: a circular frame supports the wheel sign, a tyre-tread design adds depth around the edge, and the branded face carries the alloy wheel repair message. These photographs show the framework, the construction work and the completed vehicle.

One team, from idea to fitting

How your vehicle graphics come together

Good vehicle branding starts with a clear message and a layout that works around doors, handles, panel shapes and viewing angles. We discuss the details with you before the graphics are produced.

01

Tell us about your vehicle

Send its make, model and year, photographs of the sides and rear, your logo and the information you want displayed. Let us know about existing graphics and any deadline.

02

Agree the design

We discuss the coverage, colours and positioning. Your business name, services and contact details should work together without the layout becoming crowded.

03

Produce & fit the graphics

Once the design and specification are agreed, we arrange production and fitting. The vehicle’s condition and chosen finish guide the preparation and installation work.

04

Check the finish

The fitted graphics are checked around the panels and edges. Ask us about caring for the chosen film so your new branding can be cleaned appropriately.

Start with your vehicle & your idea

Let’s put your business on the road.

Whether you need lettering for one van, a partial wrap or a coordinated fleet design, tell us what you have in mind. We’ll review the vehicle and help you decide on the right approach.

For a useful quote, send us:

  • The vehicle make, model, year and clear photographs.
  • Your logo or existing artwork, if you have it.
  • The wording and contact details you want displayed.
  • Lettering, partial wrap or full wrap preferences.
  • Details of old graphics, vehicle condition and the number of vehicles.
  • Your preferred fitting date or project deadline.

A few practical answers

Vehicle graphics & wraps: your questions

What is the difference between lettering and a wrap?

Vinyl lettering and logos are individual shapes applied to the vehicle, leaving the paint visible around them. A wrap covers a larger area with film. The two can be combined: our Cottage of Dreams van has a purple partial wrap with separate vinyl graphics applied afterwards.

Do I need a full wrap?

It depends on the look you want, the information you need to display and your budget. Lettering can provide a clear business identity, while a partial wrap introduces larger areas of colour. A full wrap gives more space for a continuous design. We can discuss the options for your vehicle.

How much do vehicle graphics or van wraps cost?

The quote depends on the vehicle, the amount of coverage, artwork requirements, materials and fitting work. Existing graphics and the condition of the bodywork can affect preparation. Send us photographs and your brief so we can quote for the work you actually need.

Can you use my existing logo and colours?

Send your logo and any brand guidelines with the enquiry. We’ll review the artwork and discuss how it can be used on your vehicle. If you have several vehicles, the same identity can be adapted to suit their different sizes and shapes.

How long will you need the vehicle?

Fitting time varies with the coverage, vehicle size and preparation required. Tell us about any deadline when you enquire. We’ll discuss availability and the time needed for your particular lettering or wrap project before arranging fitting.

Can you work on a vehicle with old graphics?

Send close-up photographs of the existing graphics and bodywork. We need to assess the current film and surface condition before advising on removal, preparation and new graphics. Removal results depend on the old material, its age and the paint beneath it.

How should I clean the graphics?

Follow the care guidance for the film fitted to your vehicle. As a general precaution, clean gently and avoid directing a pressure washer at film edges. Ask us for advice about your particular graphics and suitable cleaning products.
