LIXALL Supply-Only Signage: Before, During & After

Finished LIXALL wall sign with a printed Foamex logo and white acrylic flat-cut lettering on a green wall

A blank wall, a fitting template and around 20 minutes: this supply-only project for trade customer LIXALL shows how straightforward fitting your own signage can be when the positioning is taken care of. We made the logo and flat-cut lettering at Enigma Signs; the customer fitted the finished sign themselves.

What we supplied

The LIXALL logo: a vinyl print applied to 10mm-thick Foamex, giving the main logo depth and a strong 3D effect against the wall.

The lettering underneath: 5mm white acrylic flat-cut letters, supplied with double-sided 3M tape for fitting. The individual letters stand proud of the green wall and keep the supporting message clear.

The fitting template: 1mm Foamex, cut with the letter positions so the customer could follow the approved layout without measuring and spacing every character individually.

How the template makes fitting easier

The during photograph shows the main logo already in place and the Foamex lettering template temporarily taped to the wall underneath. The cut-outs guide the position, spacing and alignment of the acrylic letters.

Once the template is positioned and checked for level, the tape-backed letters can be fitted into their corresponding openings. Removing the template leaves the individual letters in place, with the layout carried across to the wall.

For this job, the customer took about 20 minutes to fit the signage. It is a practical example of a supply-only sign working well with a prepared layout and fitting template. Fitting time will depend on the design, access and wall surface.

For your own project, check wall and tape suitability with us before fitting. The surface needs to be clean, dry and sound, and any new paint should be fully cured before adhesive lettering is applied.
